Tony W. Pearson, 66, of Flora, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Milner Health Care in Rossville, on October 12, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Tony was born to the late Ralph W. and Blanche (Butts) Pearson on December 21, 1956, in Kokomo, IN.
Tony was the oldest of five siblings growing up on the family farm outside of Cutler, IN. He was a 1975 graduate of Carroll High School. He spent several years working as an auto mechanic in Sedalia, and 13 years at the Flora Pizza King, before he eventually retired in 2022 from Indiana Packers after 10 years of service. Tony had a passion for classic cars, classic rock and classic Indiana Hoosier’s basketball. He followed the team closely and was an avid fan through the highs and lows. With no children of his own he created special bonds with his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Surviving family include siblings, Tom (Teresa) Pearson of Cutler, Tim Pearson of Michigantown, Ted (Janie) Pearson of Loudon, TN, and Trenia (Johnathan) LaRose of New Bern, NC. Tony is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate Tony’s Life on October 21, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Wheeler Family Funeral Home- Baker Chapel. 204 S. Center St. Flora, IN 46929. Tony will be laid to rest next to his parents at Ball Hill Cemetery. Family has requested donations to help with funeral expenses, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

October 12, 2023 9:32 pm ·I spent a lot of my younger years (20’s) with this family. We had great get togethers at the Pearson place. Loved them all. I did get to face time with Tony two weeks ago talking about the good times. He & his family will always have a special place in my heart. Sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed. RIP Tony. Go rock n roll in heaven my friend.
