Tina M. Nicholson Davis, 48, of Romney, went home to be her Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Tina was born to John and Karen Stichter Nicholson on February 24, 1969 in Lafayette.
Tina worked with Brown Catering at Purdue University at one time. She also was a cook at State Farm in West Lafayette. She also was a waitress at the Pitt Stop in Romney. Tina was a graduate of McCutcheon High School class of 1987. One of her biggest hobbies was watching Tony Stewart race and being a loyal Midget and Sprint car fan. She also enjoyed camping, gardening and baking.
On June 1, 1991 Tina married Dennis Davis in Lafayette and he survives.
On November 27, 2016, Tina was baptized and became a devoted Christian becoming members of Sunrise Christian Reformed Church in Lafayette.
Surviving with Denny are their children. Daughter: Chelsea Walters of Clarks Hill. Son: Dustin Davis of Romney. Parents: John and Karen Nicholson of Clarks Hill. Sister: Michele Nicholson of Lafayette. Maternal grandmother: Margaret Stichter of Lafayette.
Tina’s family invites friends to call Monday, May 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM till time of her celebration of life service at 1:00 PM at Sunrise Christian Reformed Church, 909 E. 500 S., Lafayette, IN 47909. Pastor Randall Bergsma officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery Romney. Family ask that all donations be given to the church in memory of Tina Davis.
The church will be open to except floral arrangements Monday after 9 AM. Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel oversees directing Tina’s funeral services.
