Thomas K. Kidwell, 74, of Fowler, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home in Fowler. Tom was born to the late John and Marcella Brands Kidwell on December 18, 1946 in Hammond, IN. Tom spent most of his life in Benton County. He was a 1965 graduate of Fowler High School and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Fowler for years. Tom drove a semi at one time, he worked at Sam’s Club in Lafayette, McCutcheon High School in maintenance, he later worked at the Benton County Court House. His favorite place to work was as a young man at County Line Cheese in Garrett, IN.
Tom is survived by one son: Thomas W. Kidwell of Fowler. Three daughters: Lisa Russo of Florida, Theresa Depriest of Alabama and Stacie Conrad of Florida. Several grand and great-grandchildren. 3 brothers: John (Mary) Kidwell, Dave (Mary) Kidwell and Joe (Melinda) Kidwell. 5 sisters: Mary Barrett, Angie (Wally) Curwick, Marcella (Jeff) Stineburg, Marge (Jim) Schwartz, Jeanne (Leon) Greives, and Pat (Jim) Besse. He is preceded by his sisters, Joanne Clark and twin sister, Theresa Kidwell. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Tom’s Family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 107 E. Main Street, Fowler, IN 47944 from 10:00 am to the time of the Rosary at 12:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. Father Peter Vanderkolk will officiate. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be given to Sacred Heart of Jesus for Mass in Tom Kidwell’s memory.

He always wanted to meet his twin sister who died as an infant; now he has. I will miss him every day and I hope to be reunited with him some day.

As a newly formed Catholic convert I needed to talk to a Catholic man, and Tom was the man our Lord provided me. I will treasure the hours spent talking about our faith and the countless cups of coffee I witnessed Tom drink. He adopted my family immediately. My wife, my son, and I will miss this man!! JMJ

I live in Sheldon so I do know John, Joe and Mary (Barrett) and their families, and extend my condolences to them and the entire family. May he rest in the Lord’s arms.
