Obituaries

Rosanna Fife, 93, formerly of Flora, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Brownsburg Meadows in Brownsburg, IN. She moved to Brownsburg in 2010 after living in Carroll County most of her life. Rosanna was born to the late Price Gordon and Ola Margaret Thrush Teel on November 1, 1926 in Fulton County, IN. On December 8, 1944 Rosanna married Kenneth G. Fife in Texas and Kenneth preceded her on April 12, 2018. For 20 years, Rosanna was the bookkeeper for Carroll County Highway Department. She graduated from Flora High School in 1944 and in her later years she attended IU Kokomo. She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church and was a member of WMC with the church. She was also a member of the Flora Home Economics Club and she enjoyed sewing and working in her garden. Rosanna is survived by four sons: Gordon (Judy) of Indianapolis, Darrell (Phyllis) of Pittsboro, Merrill of Fishers and Mark (Jan) of Ft. Wayne. Daughter: Mary Beth (Gart) Powers of Crown Point. She had nine grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, husband, 2 granddaughters, one grandson and one great-great-grandson.

There will be a graveside service open to the public, following the separation guidelines from our state, at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Maple Lawn Cemetery. We are so sorry for your loss Darrell and Phyllis. We didn’t know your mother but knowing the son she raised we Know she was a wonderful lady. It is never easy to loose a loved one no matter the age or circumstance but at this time when we are all quarantined it seems even worse. Sending prayers hugs and love to you and all the family.

Rosanna was such a blessing to me in my early years of marriage and when I was a young mom. She always had a kind word and was a wonderful example of what a Christian woman is. I am sorry for your loss!

Rosanna was one of my patients I took care of the last few years. By far one of my most favorite ladies and I loved her very much. So sorry for your loss and will miss her and seeing your kind faces coming into visit! Prayers for the whole family.

Mary Beth I don’t think I met your Mom back in Dallas but I know that she was special to have such a kind and thoughtful daughter like you. I hope you keep all your precious memories of her alive and I sent my angels to hold you up and comfort you at this time. May your pain lessen as time goes by.

Sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of our parents playing cards at each of our homes while growing up. I was the ONLY girl for so long – was glad to finally have Mary Beth come along, even though she was a lot younger. A much simpler time – 55-60 years ago. Very nice cemetery service today.
