Renita F. Overholser, 73, of Cutler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, December 16, 2021, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Renita was born to the late Willie F. and Lorene Owens Winningham on November 20, 1948, in Lamar, Missouri. On October 2, 1970, in Lamar she married Gary M. Overholser and he survives. Renita was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed her time raising their children. She then worked at the Five and Dime Store in Flora, Hometown Federal Bank in Delphi, Indiana Packers and Lafayette Community Bank in Flora. Renita graduated from Lamar High School. She was a member of the Flora First Christian Church, she enjoyed reading, word search, crafts, Purdue Women’s Basketball and was always at her grandkids events. A celebration of Renita’s Life will be at 10:30 AM Monday at the Flora First Christian Church. Pastor Benjamin Lantzer will officiate. Burial to follow at Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler. Memorial donations may be given to the Parkinson Foundation, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
