Pauline L. Humbarger, 95, of Flora, was received into eternity, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru, IN. Pauline was born to the late James W. and Hazel Michael Ross on March 30, 1925 in Tippecanoe County, IN. On June 26, 1943 in Flora, Pauline married Devon Humbarger until he died February 17, 2017. Pauline was a homemaker and was at Devon’s side working on the farm. She was a 1943 graduate of Delphi High School. She was an active member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren, serving as a Deaconess and taught Sunday School. She was a charter member of the Modern Home Ec Club, member of the Madison Township Home Ec Club and the Friendly Circle Home Ec Club. Pauline is survived by her son: Dr. Carl D. and Sandy Humbarger of Peru, IN. Daughter: Carol Marie and Ron Pruden of Bloomington, IL. Four grandchildren: Charles Devon Humbarger, Carl Douglas Humbarger, Chad Darin and Liz Humbarger and Chris David Humbarger. Great-grandchildren: Madison Taylor and Hayden Devon. She is preceded by her parents, husband, stepfather, and granddaughter- Carla Marie Humbarger.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 South Center Street, Flora, IN 46929 from 10:00 am until the start of funeral at 12:00 pm. Pastor Jeff Tomson to officiate. Burial to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Pauline Humbarger’s memory to Living Faith Church of the Brethren or Gideons.
