Patricia J. Spitler, 91, of Flora, IN went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 16, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi. Pat was born to the late Dr. Lloyd and Cora Briggs Carter on December 6, 1930, in Bringhurst, IN. On July 23, 1949, Pat married her love, Robert Spitler in Bringhurst. Pat was a homemaker and helped Robert on the family farm. She was a 1948 graduate of Flora High School and a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church. Pat is survived by her husband of almost 73 years, Robert Spitler. Two daughters: Beverly and Tom Overholser of Bringhurst and Becky and John Wagoner of Flora. Four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pat was the youngest of five siblings, Pauline Rodkey, Lois Baxter, Mark Carter and Jack Carter who have all preceded her.
The Spitler Family invite friends to visit Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 S. Center Street, Flora, IN 46929 from 4:00pm to the Celebration of Patricia’s Life at 7:00pm. Burial to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cutler Presbyterian Church.
