Norma B. Shafer, 86, of Flora, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at Rosewalk Village of Lafayette. Norma was born on October 8, 1937, to the late Meredith and Beulah Clingenpeel Dunkin in Flora, IN. Norma spent her life in the community working at Bright Bank, Salin Bank and the Carroll County Comet. On January 15, 1956, Norma married Charles B. Shafer, and he preceded her on November 16, 2013. Norma was a member of Living Faith Church of the Brethren and a graduate of Flora High School. Norma and Charles enjoyed square dancing, and she was a Cuer Round Dancer. Norma is survived by three daughter: DeEtta (Sam) Balser of North Manchester, Danita (Peter) Such of Lafayette and Diana (Tim) Redding of Flora. Son: Charles “Chuck” Shafer of Montpelier. Six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family celebration of Norma’s Life. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Maple Lawn. Norma’s grandson, Kirk Moore, will officiate. In leu of flowers please make a donation to Via Quest Hospice in Kokomo.

So sorry to learn of your mom’s death. This picture of her is exactly as I remember her. Always enjoyed seeing your mom and dad when they visited with our folks. The years have flown by and your families have grown and grown up, as has ours.
