Myron J Neff, 80, of Frankfort and formally of Bringhurst, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Myron was born to the late Herman and Z. Lucille Jenkins Neff Sr. on March 29, 1943, in Monroe Township in Carroll County. Myron spent his life in the Bringhurst area where he farmed until retirement in 1992. He also worked at Pioneer Seed and was a member of the Bringhurst Community Church. In 1957 Myron finished second in the soapbox derby. A few years ago, he was watching American Pickers and saw his old soapbox derby car on the show, so he and a few other people drove to Michigan and brought it back home to Bringhurst. Myron is survived by a sister in-law Arleen Neff of Florida. Two friends and caregivers: Curt Hufty and Berdena Teel. Myron is preceded by his parents, brother-Herman Neff Jr and a sister-Louann Neff.
Following Myron’s wish, there will be a graveside service Monday, December 11, 2023, at 1:00pm at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Brad Burton will officiate. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
