Michael J. Hill of Flora, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 27, 2023. Michael was born in Logansport, IN on May 11, 1947 to the late Robert and Lucretia (Downham) Hill.
After graduating from Camden High School in 1965, Michael joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country for 4 years.
Michael spent most of his working life crisscrossing the country as an over the road trucker for Gangloff Industries. Michael married his soul mate Patricia Record on May 15, 1992, in Delphi, IN. When not driving a truck Michael enjoyed being outside, mowing yard, gardening, and taking rides on his beloved golf cart. More than anything else Mike loved being with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Mike never met a stranger and enjoyed good conversations and a lot of laughter.
Michael is survived by his wife Patricia and their six children. Michelle Lybrook of Lafayette, Dawn (Jamie) Wells of Bringhurst, Daman (Tiffany) Hill of Warsaw, Sheila (Brian) Knight of Peru, Chris (Jeff) Roller of Logansport and Kenny (Shea) Carter of Kokomo. Mike was blessed with 14 grandchildren: Shannon, Clint, Garth, Holli, Becka, Dayne, Levi, Delaney, Brianna, Carlissa, Shelby, Kody, Kiley, and Erik, as well as “Bunches” of Great-Grandchildren. Michael’s brother Larry Hill of Arizona and sister Jane Stone of Galveston also survive.

I admit that I learned a thing or two about Truckin from him. He was never too busy to talk about anything. I’m gonna miss those long winded conversations with him.

This last week we’re we’re texting about Pa Scrapple( with a picture) and if I knew what that was. We always talked about Auto industry and it’s ups and downs.
Gonna miss ya Buddy. I am sure Heaven is a great place to spend your time. We will see you again soon enough.
