Juan F. “Pops” Ovalle, 72, of Flora died at his home Friday, December 30, 2022, surrounded by his family. Juan was born to the late Preciliano and Natividad Serrato Ovalle on November 6, 1950, in Donna, TX. Juan married Olivia Gutierrez, the love of his life on November 28, 1970, in Marion, IN and she survives. He retired in 2012 from Indiana Packers, working there for 16 years. Prior he worked at Wilson Food in Logansport, IN. Juan attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi and enjoyed dancing. Pops is survived by his wife of 52 years, Olivia. Daughter: Lisa Ovalle (companion Mike Hufford) of Flora. Two sons: Johnny Ovalle of Bringhurst and Anthony (wife Mandy) Ovalle of Phoenix, AZ. Four brothers: Ricardo Ovalle, Gilberto Ovalle, Javier Ovalle and Leonol Ovalle all of Texas. Eleven grandchildren: Whitney Ovalle (companion Jose Reyes-Rivera), Tyson (wife Morgan) Ovalle, Seth Sullivan, Johnny (wife Carly) Ovalle, Jalen Ovalle, Gavin Hancock (companion Sydney Fara), Logan Jackson (companion Cortnie Smith), Kailynn Moline, Aspen Ovalle (companion Chase Baker), Bubs Ovalle and Tre (wife Sandra) Bosquez. Seven great-grandchildren: Penelope Ovalle, Taytum Jackson, Leila Bosquez, Johnny Bosquez, Xavier Bosquez, Kristopher Baker and Eveleigh Cavosos. Preceding in death are two brothers- Priciliano Ovalle Jr. and Joe Oscar Ovalle. Juan was a proud family man; family was everything to him, he loved being with his children and grandchildren.
The Ovalle Family invite friends to visit Saturday, January 7, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Mass will begin at 12:00pm.
