2023
Joseph Daniel Lesh (Dan) 74 passed peacefully on November 12, 2023 at IU University hospital in Indianapolis. He lived a life of love, devotion, and creativity.
Dan was born December 4, 1948, in Logansport, Ind. To the late Van and Marjorie Dillon Lesh. He graduated from Carroll high school in 1967, and attended Ball State University. He retired from Lesh Advertising in Deer Creek where he worked with his best friend and cousin, Jeff Lesh, for over 40 years. He was a 6 year veteran of the Indiana national guard. In 1968 he married his high school sweetheart Pam (Hutson) Lesh and she survives.
Dan loved his family and people. He could always lighten a mood and make everyone laugh with his humor and quick wit. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his joy in his family’s achievements and adventures knew no bounds. Dan’s passions included caring for his yard, flowers and pond. His workshop was a testament to his skills in woodworking and his love for tools. He was a fan of Indianapolis Colts, Indy and Nascar racing, and of course Star Trek. His pets Ginny and Geordi, both rescues, also enriched his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vicki Lesh. Surviving is his wife Pam residing in Cutler, his son Mark Lesh (wife Dana Lesh), daughter Marianne Lesh (husband Bryan Read) and grandsons Aidan and Aaron Lesh all residing in Indianapolis. Also surviving is his sister Sandra Lesh Miller (husband Kenny Miller) residing in Bringhurst.
Per his request there will be no funeral service. Burial will be private at ball hill cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and Heaven after Hell animal rescue, Indianapolis Indiana. In remembering Dan, we honor a life of dedication, love and a deep connection to those around him.
