Jerry Allen Ross, 59, of Flora, IN went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 31, 2017 in Lafayette. Jerry was born to Russell and Janice Wagerman Ross on March 17, 1958 in Franklin, IN. He was raised in the Franklin area before moving to Flora over 15 years ago. Jerry attended Franklin High School.
On September 20, 1991 in Indianapolis, Jerry married his love, Ruth Ann Peterson and she survives.
Jerry attended First Assembly of God in Delphi, where he served his Lord in visiting his church family as a chaplain. Jerry and Ruth Ann lived their life for Christ and sharing his promise.
Jerry is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Ross of Flora. Mother: Janice Ross of Bringhurst. One daughter: Kera Starr Ping of Mooresville, IN. One son: Andy Ross Louisiana. Two sisters: Susan Engarm of Alabama and Jackeline Watts of Delphi. Six brothers: Phillip Ross of Indianapolis, Thomas Ross of Indianapolis, Billy Ross of Bringhurst, Christopher Ross of Bringhurst, Sam Ross of Ohio and Frank Ross of Monticello. Three grandchildren: Joshua, Gillian and Maila. Jerry is preceded by his father, a brother: David Ross.
Jerry’s family invites friends to visit Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a celebration of Jerry’s life starting at 5:00 PM at Wheeler Family Funeral Home-Baker Chapel, 204 South Center Street, Flora, IN 46920. Pastor Brent Oliver officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
