Dorotha B. “Dotti” Ledman, 92, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at “home” at Wesley Manor Health Center. Dotti was born to the late Andrew Vern and Geneva Hursh Beck on July 24, 1925 in Omaha, NE. On May 27, 1949, Dorotha married Richard Lynn “Dick” Ledman and they spent 66 years together until he passed on November 9, 2015.
Dotti was an educator at Plymouth High School and Northwestern High School. She and her husband farmed for many years in Carrol County.
Dorotha graduated from Flora High School in 1943. She received her teaching degree from Butler University where she was a member and president of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a member of the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Propylaeum. She was President of the Board of the Girl Scout council which included Logansport, Flora, Kokomo and Rochester.
Dorotha is survived by two nephews, Ronald Warren and Donald Warren; five nieces, Gay Warren Hoover, Nancy Wagaman Klein, Janet Wagaman Nowak, Patricia Wagaman, and Jean Wagaman. She is also survived by six great-nieces and nephews and eleven great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Anne Beck Wagaman and Betty Beck Bailey.
Graveside services will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20th. Memorials may be given in Dorotha B. Ledman’s memory to Wesley Manor in Frankfort, IN or the charity of your choice.
